Aluminium Die & Sand casting
Longton Light Alloys is one of the few foundries in the UK equipped to produce Aluminium castings of up to 2.0 tonnes in weight.
We specialise in large tooling applications for the automotive, aerospace and leisure industries , and have developed the casting in of stainless steel tubing which provides a very effective method of introducing heating or cooling elements to the tool during use.
COPPER BASED CASTING
Longton Light Alloys produce Copper based Alloy castings to British , European and American standards We can also work within duel certification standards where applied.
We have the capacity to cast up to 750 kilos in most of the Copper baseed alloys and specialise in castings for the oil, gas and water industry such as Valve and pump bodies.
ZINC BASED CASTING
Longton Light Alloys also cast in a wide variety of Zinc Based Alloy Castings up to 5 tonnes.
This is mainly used for prototyping and short run panels for such items as car bodies and also has applications for the Marine Industry for such items as Sacrificial Anodes for ships hulls.
Pattern tooling, machining & finishing
Longton Light Alloys is part of a small group together with our sister company Gladstone Engineering.
This provides our foundry with access to a full range of facilities including fabrication, machining, assembly and finishing such as Spray painting or Powder coating.
We also offer full pattern making and tooling manufacturing giving our customers a full concept to finish product service.
